I recently picked up several new watches from my buddy Angus, one of which is a beautiful 44.5mm Hublot Big Bang SS w/ carbon dial and tire tread rubber strap. I must say I was reluctant to pick this model as the date windows are usually poorly cut and the dw's are usually off center in the window, boy was I blown away when Angus hand picked this watch for me. I was very suprised when I recieved the qc pics showing a nicely cut window, only downer for me was the old school white datewheel with black numbers. This was no big deal as it would be swapped out for a nice black wheel with white numbers. The case is high polished stainless steel with stainless steel lugs attaching the strap to the case, as well as a black high polished ceramic bezel which just shines I might add. The dial is carbon fiber with arabic numerals and luminous hands, driven by the HUB4100 series movement which should be the HUB44 but no big deal as you can't win em all I must say that I am a huge fan of Rolex and Panerai's (btw where's my noob 360 at?? , after seeing these awsome watches while I was on vacation I knew I had to have one. After recieving my first watch (the ABII) I knew I must have another to fill a void inside my box. One last thing I will say before getting to the pictures is the quality of these new breed versions are amazing, the fit and finish is top notch considering the gen's sell at over $10k and the reps are under $400 bucks. I am usually pretty anal with the accuracy of my watches, however, I think I can live with a few minor flaws which I really don't need to point out as most will never encounter a gen in the wild. Please note I took several pics of the watch, although not too many of the strap and clasp as they are my least favorite part of this watch. Just a few other obsetvations I wanted to add about the AR on this watch compared to earlier new breed versions. This version still has AR (bluish purple), however, unlike other versions that appear very strong in color this AR is more genlike. Colorless at most angles unless you hit the crystal with heavy light, I tried really hard to capture the AR in several pics and it wasn't as easy compared to the older versions. A few other notes on the back of the case are the words stainless steel and titanium, it appears the maker is using the same case for all new breed big bang models which is incorrect. As the gen version I have seen do not have these engraved/etched into the case. (NOTE: Im not really a Hublot expert, this is just an observation from looking at gen pics.

Hey EVojlib, That is a gorgeous piece! IMO, more of an eyecatcher and a little sexier than the V6 Evos. Really looks GEN, and I think this model would be my next purchase. How does the softness of the V6 tread rubber strap compare to the feel and softness of the V6 smooth rubber strap? Curious if this strap is of the same quality and feel as the smooth ones...
Yes this is one of the most beautiful and famous HBB. It was my first HBB a famous V1. Concerning the strap in my V1 is quite more smooth than the new rubber straps of Evos. The most confortable strap of HBB that I know. I hope that this old model from V6 factory is the same. ALE
