Báo lỗi cannot extract update package trong update joomla năm 2024

Indeed you have weird message during installation, but it looks that plugin & template was updated. I checked xml files.

In Akeeba Admin Tools click "Fix permissions" from time to time, it may help.

I ran the Akeeba permissions fix and manually reinstalled the update. I still get the same warning:

Warning
Copy file failed

I tried updating through Joomla update, and I still get the same error:

Failed to extract file: index.php

I cleared the update cache and let it rebuild in control panel. The update notification is still there.

I went to extensions management, and it still shows shaper_helixultimate as 1.1.2 instead of 1.1.3, which is shown in Helix Ultimate itself if I open up template options.

Now what? I suspect the "Copy file failed" warning points to a culprit somehow.

Just change in database number from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 - as you know all files are new.

Sometimes Joomla goes crazy. I had this same with many other extensions in the past.

Thanks. I am not familiar with which table this is, and I don't want to guess. Please advise.

What about the file copy warning?

I found it in _extensions.

I changed "version":"1.1.2" to "version":"1.1.3".

I cleaned Joomal Update cache.

Joomla update no longer shows the template as needing update.

Glad to know that you have sorted things out, Allen:)

Just tried to update again today from 1.3 to 1.4. The update fails with error:

Failed to extract file: index.php

I tried to manually install. Fails with warning:

Warning
Copy file failed

Message
Installation of the plugin was successful.

When I go to Template Options for Helix Ultimate, I see version 1.3.

Version 1.4 is not installing.

I ran Akeebe Permissions Fix and DB Optimization. Still fails.

PageBuilder pro updated with no problem, so permissions must really be okay.

If somehow your Joomla doesn't allows you to update extensions nor templates - you have to download Helix Quickstart and manually - using FTP tool - upload helix ultimate template and plugin from it.

What?

PageBuilder pro updated with no problem, so permissions must really be okay.

As I explained, everything else is updating and installing fine. This problem is only with the Helix Ultimate template.

The error I reported above shows that the plugin installation was successful with manual installation, but not the template itself. I need some help please.

So please update template files manually as I told you, It should take you 90sec.

You are recommending using a Quickstart package. Doesn't this overwrite my entire site?

I haven't done a manual file copy update of a template before. Can you give me some idiot steps to follow at least? So I can make sure I don't accidently break something?

ONLY template folder - nothing more.

Make website backup!

  1. I unzipped the quickstart package.
  2. I FTP'ed all files and folders from helixultimate_quickstart_j3_v1.1.4\templates\shaper_helixultimate to /templates/shaper_helixultimate.

I cleared joomla cache and joomla update cache. Joomla still sees I need to update:

shaper_helixultimate

System - Helix Ultimate Framework

I opened Helix Ultimate options to see the version number at the bottom. It's still 1.1.3.

I did what you told me to do. No progress. Now what?

Paul, I performed the recommendeed remediation. It did not work. Please advise.

I need to update Helix Ultimate 1.3 to 1.4, but the update fails.

Can anyone assist?

Checking. I will try to correct numbers in Joomla database don't worry.

Fixed.Version number updated. I done it in table "pnrwp_extensions" - "manifest_cache"

as you see wrong number was only in Joomla extensions manifest cache.

Will this continue to happend in the future? What am I doing wrong? How can I avoid crreating support tickets?

What caused the original update failure messages? Do other extensions are having these update failures on my Joomla.

Thanks,

Allen

How do I correct the numbers in the Joomla database? The issue persists with 2.0.1. I've already done a manual copy. of the template folder from the latest quickstart.

No other extensions, including SBPB, have this issue.

If you decided to use new Helix before waiting to 2.0.2 update (which is more recommeded), please uninstall Helix plugin and install a new template again.

Unable to update Regular Labs Extensions via the Regular Lab Extension manager or the Joomla! extension updater.

When I try to update via the Regular lab Extension manager I get this error:

Error Regular Labs - Extension Manager Installation failed

When I try to update via the Joomla! extension updater I get this error: Error Failed to extract file: file.zip

I can download each update from Regular Labs, manually upload each update, and that works, but I'd like to get this working.

There are other extensions that update via the Joomla! extension updater without issue. Today I updated the Joomlashack Framework extension and also recently updated Docman from Joomlatools.

Thought it might have been hosting related, but when we switched from siteground to LiquidWeb the issue persisted.

Thought it might be htaccess related, but switched out for Admin Tools Pro htaccess for the basic htaccess that ships with Joomla! and no change. (Restored secure htaccess file)

Tried deactivating Admin Tools Pro, but no change. (Reactivated now)

Ever seen anything like this?

Weird stuff. Could be some issue with folder permissions.

First try a rebuild of the Update Sites (in Joomla).

Rebuilt all sites in update sites - attempted via the extension manager and J! extension manager - issue persists.

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look? You can use the 'Confidential information' button in the forum editor to hide sensitive information.

When trying to update via the Regular Labs Extension Manager, the popup shows n error screen: "Access Denied - Sucuri Website Firewall"... Could that also be the reason stuff is not working correctly for you? Firewall getting in the way?

Possible, I can whitelist your IP. I get the same error when I work from a workstation I haven't whitelisted.

Nicholas at Akeeba (similar problem with those extensions) indicated to me "Sucuri has nothing to do with it, nor does .htaccess, nor Admin Tools. All of these handle requests from the Internet TO your web server software (not even to your server as a whole).

Updates are about making requests to the Internet FROM your server (regardless of whether it's a script running through your web server software or the command line), namely to each software vendor's update and download servers. These are blocked by the operating system level firewall and/or transparent proxying set up on your site's server."

I am troubleshooting with Liquid Web (hosting) also. But not getting anywhere there.

Please provide your IP address and I'll whitelist it in Sucuri. If you think it might be a solution, I can whitelist the any IP addresses that might also prevent the updates from happening.

If this helps, I use Watchful to monitor and update just shy of 50 sites. I can update Regular Labs extensions via Watchful for all sites except this one.

The error i get there is "Invalid response received from the site: Watchful Remote System can't find the update record"

Peter van Westen ADMIN

My own IP is currently: 194.146.38.178

It's weird that the firewall kicks in on that popup, but not for the rest of the administrator.

Can you also whitelist the IP of my website, where the zip files are coming from: 185.220.175.129

Done!

Andrew Crossan

No difference for me.

I do have other sites on Sucuri and this isn't an issue.

Peter van Westen ADMIN

Well, that cost me an hour of my life. This is all caused by the Innato Updater Utility. That plugin messes with the download URLs passed to the Joomla core installer.

Disable that, and all is well.

Much appreciated.

Make sense - knowing that's what it is. I sincerely appreciate your time. Disappointed that I didn't think to try that...
