Is this a good PSU? Im looking for a budget decent PSU for my new build, I prefer full modular psu. But my budget is tight, around RM300+. I went into a facebook pc group and the group members keep talking about this PSU. Any review about this item? Or should I take FSP, superflower or any other brand? adamtayy Feb 3 2019, 08:03 PMQUOTE(DesktopLimousine @ Feb 3 2019, 07:06 PM) Is this a good PSU? Price may tell you how good is the quality. Any PSU less than RM300 is hard to get a good one. Corsair TX650M used to be aroud RM350 on lelong. I found this psu with fully modular and it is 80+ silver. Super Flower often uses a very modern design, as well as very high grade components in their unit (after all they are the OEM behind some of the best PSUs you can buy) AquaralSS Feb 27 2020, 04:25 AMNew Member QUOTE(r0ck_ @ Feb 4 2019, 01:04 AM) Get a branded psu,the 1stplayer,segotep,aigo psus are not good Get branded one i got cooler master MWE650W 80+ Gold rated died within 1 month. Gold rated PSU =! always a quality unit Also, even good PSUs can fail too (my Seasonic G 550 actually failed twice and RMA'ed twice) Note that very few brands actually makes their own PSUs (even Seasonic no longer makes their PSUs in-house, like the S12III, which is manufactured by RSY). Always look for PSUs according to the OEM and the platform, not just the brand name itself This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Feb 27 2020, 04:25 PM chocobo7779 Feb 27 2020, 04:23 PMQUOTE(lawliet88 @ Feb 27 2020, 02:57 PM) cheapo price full modular always got hidden risk. also on amazon review 1star rate quite high also now even chap ayam can easily get gold rated. One thing is that 80+ efficiency units only tells how efficient the PSU is, but it is not a definitive indicator of quality. There are even 80+ Platinum PSUs that doesn't perform very well for its price y500 Mar 31 2020, 05:58 PM1stplayer dk6.0 RM190 full modular, takut kaboom.. This isn't a pissing contest about who's wrong or right- it's more about offering options/choices. People are free to choose whichever option they prefer. BTW: Full review for the FSP Hydro on Tom's Hardware: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fsp-hy...upply,6228.html Is 1stplayer steampunk good? When it comes to quality, the Steampunk 80+ Gold 750W PSU is acceptable for a product seeking to combine value and high performance. The primary parts are all premium products coming from known manufacturers, the platform is well designed, and the assembly job is exceptional. Are Deepcool PSU reliable? The Deepcool psu is a great product. I purchased this after reading the positive reviews I saw online which highlighted the quality of components used in these. I think it is superior compared to other brand products offered at the same price. The aftersales support provided by Acro and Deepcool is also good. |
